MOTHER OF PEARL FABRIC
A ZANIN Venice exclusive that will bring to light some interesting innovations in the field of high fashion and luxury furniture.
It is not easy to take a solid material like Mother of pearl and make it flexible like leather but at ZANIN Venezia we have succeeded thanks to the experience gained over many years in the processing of this kind of such precious material.
A combination of targeted steps permitted us to create this innovative material. From peeling into very thin mother-of-pearl leaves we move on to crushing which transforms it into a sort of craquelure to arrive at the creation of a flexible sandwich which uses a real microfibre fabric as a support.
The total thickness of the mother-of-pearl fabric thus obtained has a thikness less than one millimeter, making it suitable for the creation of decorations in the whole leather goods field.
Its use is especially indicated in the creation of fashion accessories such as bags, clutches, belts, bracelets and so on. It is currently available in four different types of shells for a range of forty colors in total.
It i salso possible creating any color upon customer request, the Pantone code is sufficient to have the color that best suits the different combinations with which this material can be combined.
